Connie R. Thacker, shareholder at the Grand Rapids law firm of Rhoades McKee, was elected by Michigan State Bar’s Family Law Council to serve a one-year term as chairperson of the Alternative Family Law Committee and the Domestic Violence Committee. She was also elected to chair the Family Law practice group at Rhoades McKee.
Thacker is the co-editor of the new Guardian Ad Litem Handbook for Divorce Practice, published by the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section. She is a trained and certified mediator of family law cases and is certified in domestic violence screening protocol.

Patrick R. Drueke, shareholder at the Grand Rapids law firm of Rhoades McKee, presented “Hot Topics in Real Estate Law” at the Michigan Association of CPA’s Real Estate Issues Conference on October 12 in Troy, Michigan. Drueke joined Rhoades McKee in 1998 and specializes in real estate law and commercial and civil litigation.

Connie R. Thacker, shareholder at the Grand Rapids law firm of Rhoades McKee, is the co-editor of the new Guardian Ad Litem Handbook for Divorce Practice, published by the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section. Thacker authored two chapters, “Domestic Violence and the GAL” and “Removal of the GAL,” and edited “The Child: Michigan Protocol.” The twelve-chapter handbook is available for purchase at Rhoades McKee. Thacker is serving a three-year term as a council member of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section. She is a trained and certified mediator of family law cases and is certified in domestic violence screening protocol.

Dan E. Bylenga, Jr. was elected to a three-year term as vice president of marketing on the executive committee at Rhoades McKee. Mr. Bylenga’s practice includes general civil and commercial litigation, commercial transactions and bankruptcy with an emphasis on business reorganization, creditor's rights and litigation. Robert C. Shaver was elected to a three-year term as vice president of practice development on the executive committee at Rhoades McKee. Mr. Shaver joined the firm in 1990 and focuses his practice in the business transactional area, real estate sales/acquisitions and development, estate planning and general corporate counsel for closely held businesses and their owners.
