September 2008
Congratulations to David Bevins, Paul McCarthy, Pete Lozicki and Pat Drueke (not shown) for participating in the triathlon—no small feat, indeed! They are amazing triathletes!
Patrick left the scene before the Team Rhoades McKee photo...but check him out leading a pack of runners.

The Rhoades McKee Reeds Lake Triathlon had 1,087 registered participants—with 989 finishing (323 females/666 males).
It was a beautiful morning at Collins Park/Reeds Lake.

The first heat of swimmers hit the water—approximately 7:30 a.m.

Our own David Bevins was one of seven participants who chose to compete in the Chariot Division of the Triathlon. The Chariot Division consists of pulling a disabled child in a kayak/raft for the one-half mile swim, in a buggy behind the bike for 17.2 miles and then finishing up in a jogging buggy for the 4.9 mile run. David’s overall finish time was an amazing 2:15:37 for the entire race! Hats off to David for not only his participation in the triathlon, but more importantly, for giving a disabled child the opportunity to experience the triathlon first hand. David, you’re an amazing triathlete!
