Robert J. Dugan
Born December 25, 1945, Pontiac,
Michigan. Education: University of Michigan, BA, 1968;
University of Michigan, JD, 1971; Admitted to Michigan
Bar and United States District Court for the Western
District of Michigan, 1971. Also admitted to practice
before the United States Tax Court and the Sixth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
Mr. Dugan’s practice focuses on
real estate transactions, corporate and business law,
municipal law, estate planning and probate. Mr. Dugan
has represented clients in commercial real estate development
projects, condominium, site condominium and plat developments,
commercial and industrial lease negotiations, zoning
disputes and commercial loan transactions. Mr. Dugan
has served on the boards of directors of numerous charitable
organizations, and has served as a Trustee, Treasurer,
and President of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. In
1996 Mr. Dugan received the Distinguished Service
Award from the Grand Rapids Bar Association for exceptional
service to that organization.
Mr. Dugan is a paraplegic
who uses a wheelchair for mobility and is well versed
in disability rights issues.
