Allison E. Horton
Allison focuses her practice in the areas of general civil litigation, commercial litigation, and business law. However, she is also experienced in other areas of practice, including but not limited to, Real Estate Law, Family Law, Creditor's Rights, Labor & Employment, Tax Law, and Probate & Estate Planning.
She is an active member of the Michigan Bar Association, the West Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and the Grand Rapids Bar Association.
Prior to working at Rhoades McKee as a summer clerk and joining the firm as an associate attorney, Allison clerked for the Honorable Kenneth F. Ripple of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and also for the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2005. Thereafter, Allison received her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2009.
In law school, Allison was honored with full membership status in the Moot Court Honor Society and contributed to the Valparaiso University Law Review as both an editor and notewriter.
