Randy J. Kolar

Randy J. Kolar is an equity shareholder at Rhoades McKee and has been with the firm since 1995.  Prior to that time, Randy worked eight years for a large regional public accounting firm.  Randy received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1983 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1987.

Randy’s practice is concentrated in estate planning, with a strong emphasis in planning for high net worth individuals and their sophisticated tax needs.  Randy also is significantly involved in business planning to meet the needs of corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies and other business owners, both in terms of operational matters and in terms of their acquisitions, mergers, and divestments.  Randy presently serves as the chairman of the business practice group of Rhoades McKee and is past chairman of the estate planning Group.

Randy is a member of Tax Section, the Business Section, and the Probate and Estate Planning Sections of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
