How do you help businesses and individuals?
My clients tend to be those whose rights need to be enforced. I work at making people keep their promises, and help my clients navigate complicated situations in ways that gets them the best results, as fast and cost-effectively as possible.
What is the most important advice that you have given a client?
When I started out, a friend and mentor said to me that the most important job a lawyer has is to take the rock off his client’s chest. Telling a client what to expect, and how an objective will be obtained puts the client’s mind at ease and solidifies the lawyer-client relationship from the outset.
What case did you find the most rewarding to work on?
I have had a handful of cases over the years that required some incredibly innovative maneuvering to get an optimum result. Those included suing third parties holding property that rightfully belonged to my client, going after property in other states, and creating new parcels within a tract of land to allow us to foreclose and avoid environmental liability on other parts of the remaining property.
