About Mark

How do you help businesses and individuals?

I help businesses and individuals solve problems. Often that involves resolving legal issues in state and federal courts. It also involves finding resolutions before going to court or outside of the courtroom. I regularly assist clients with complex commercial issues, construction, real estate or zoning disputes, contracts for the sale of goods, liens, and corporate difficulties. In addition, I have helped clients with matters involving cybersecurity, data privacy, consumer protection, nonprofit corporations, division of assets, debt collection, and civil fraud.

What is the most important advice that you have given a client?

Anyone can make bad decisions when they are frustrated, excited, or hurt. Even the smartest and most successful people in the world do foolish things because they fail to recognize the emotional component of their decisions. Emotions should not be eliminated; they must be factored into the decision-making process.

How do any of your community interests or activities facilitate how you represent your client?

Serving on a board of directors for a local nonprofit gives me insight into the issues that clients face daily. I understand the budgetary, human resources, and mission-oriented decisions that clients have to make. This knowledge allows me to advise clients on the best options to achieve their goals and resolve their disputes.
