What types of legal issues do you help individuals and businesses resolve?
I represent a wide range of business on real estate and environmental matters. In my environmental practice, I routinely advise clients on permitting, regulatory compliance, and enforcement with regard to water discharges, underground storage tanks, wetlands, waste management, and PFAS. I also have experience with obtaining brownfield incentives.
My real estate practice focuses on helping developers, manufacturers and commercial and industrial businesses buy, sell, and lease property.This includes performing site due diligence, resolving zoning issues, and drafting necessary agreements.
What skills help you advise the client and achieve the best results or outcomes?
Environmental issues can be very technical and often require collaboration between a team of professionals with varying technical expertise. I prioritize communicating proactively and transparently so that these issues are dealt with in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
What did you learn in your first year of practice that you still utilize today?
I learned to view problems through a camera lens, knowing when to “zoom in” on the details and when to “zoom out” to provide comprehensive counsel. With this mindset I am able to provide practical solutions to present issues while also anticipating and addressing future needs.
