As a summer associate with Rhoades McKee, you will be exposed to all our interdisciplinary teams that represent families and individuals, emerging businesses and large corporations.
While your summer will certainly involve research and writing on a wide range of legal problems, you will also work alongside attorneys who have been recognized for their excellence by peers and professional organizations such as Martindale Hubbell, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers and Rising Stars. In addition, you will have the opportunity to attend court appearances, client meetings, depositions, mediations, practice group meetings, and professional association activities. Throughout the process, you will be paired with mentors who will provide assistance and feedback in completing assignments and help you identify resources available in the firm and the community.
“What sets Rhoades McKee apart from other firms is the opportunities it gives its young attorneys. As a summer associate, I had the opportunity not only to see great lawyers in action, but to perform real, substantive work and interact with clients. As an associate, I helped develop a new practice area for the firm from the ground up. I know as I continue my career, Rhoades McKee will give me the opportunities I need to grow and develop as an attorney.
— Jackie Appleman, 2012 and 2013 Summer Associate
“One of my favorite aspects of Rhoades McKee is the community, friendships and professionalism within the firm. Talking to other law students and working at other firms has shown me that this sort of community does not exist everywhere. This corporate culture sets Rhoades McKee apart from other GR law firms.”
—Andrea Meyering, 2015 Summer Associate
