About Brianna

What types of clients do you serve?

As an estate planning and probate litigation attorney, my practice allows me to work with a variety of clients and their unique situations – whether they come to me at the beginning of their careers when they are focusing on planning for their young families or when they have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and want to get their affairs in order. I listen and respond to each client’s unique circumstance, which may include preparing a will, navigating tax issues, establishing guardianships and conservatorships, or implementing powers of attorney.

What skills help you advise the client and achieve the best results or outcomes?

I am always willing to learn. Whether it means tackling a research project or going to someone who has the specific knowledge and experience, I will find the answer or ask for advice. When you admit that you don’t know everything, but will find the answer, clients know you are doing everything you can for them in solving their issues.

How do any of your community interests or activities facilitate how you represent your client?

By being active within the community, I am able to obtain resources to assist my clients in many different situations, including resources for the elder community. The counselor role does not always mean just providing legal advice and representation, but many times includes providing a client and their family with community resources and being a listening ear.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a lawyer?

A:

My favorite part about West Michigan is the connections I make. Whether it be a relative, a former classmate, or a family friend, I am constantly meeting people who know someone I know. In a tight-knit community like West Michigan, it is crucial to make those connections to build relationships as time goes on.
