Rhoades McKee is pleased to announce an expansion of legal services to Holland, Michigan and welcomes a new shareholder, Peter D. Rhoades.
The firm’s expansion opportunity stems from a long affiliate relationship with Rhoades. “Prior to the expansion, we have enjoyed opportunities to jointly service financial institutions as well as a variety of other business clients. We look forward to providing comprehensive services to Holland and other lakeshore area businesses as well as having our clients benefit from the addition of Peter to our legal team,” stated Paul A. McCarthy, President of Rhoades McKee. “Holland continues to develop and expand its nationwide appeal. Recognized as the “All America City” from National Civic League and “One of the Top Five Places to Retire” from Money Magazine, business and development opportunities will only continue to develop, and we are excited to actively engage at the lakeshore,” he continued.
For over 20 years, Peter has concentrated his practice on representing businesses in litigation and dispute resolution. Peter has worked extensively in all type of lending transactions, including loan workouts and restructurings. He actively represents clients, including financial institutions, in the ownership, leasing and sale of real property.
“I look forward to offering clients the broad array of legal services of a full service firm. With Rhoades McKee, the Holland and lakeshore communities will have direct and convenient access to a full staff of attorneys with extensive backgrounds in estate planning and probate litigation, family law and divorce services, real estate and environmental law, litigation specialists as well as business and corporate law services,” stated Rhoades.
The transfer will be effective January 1, 2015 and the lakeshore office will operate from the current location of 11377 James Street in Holland. Renovations will begin on the interior space to accommodate the additional legal services and plan for future staffing.
Rhoades is a current member of the State Bar of Michigan, Grand Rapids Bar Association and current Board Member and past Chairman of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Holland. He received his bachelor degree from Hope College and earned his law degree from Valparaiso University.
Recently relocated to a new office space at 55 Campau Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rhoades McKee has also welcomed 3 additional attorneys this year to include Suanne Watt Stay, Catherine Brainerd and Jacqueline Appleman.
