Metro Health-University of Michigan Health recently announced the consolidation of two governance boards into one to support its growing role as a leader of health care innovation. Previously, Metro Health was governed by a hospital board that reported to a separate corporate board of directors. With the new restructuring, the two separate boards (with 23 members, some serving on both), were merged into a single board with 15 voting directors.
Rhoades McKee attorney Bruce Courtade – who previously served on both independent Boards – was elected to serve as a member of the consolidated Board. Courtade, a former president of the State Bar of Michigan, is Chair of Rhoades McKee’s Construction Practice Group and a member of its Litigation and Cannabis Practice groups.
