In 2018, six states enacted new laws designed to close the gender gap.  Earlier this year, the House reintroduced the Paycheck Fairness Act and Governor Gretchen Whitmer removed salary information from all state agency employment applications.  With these legislative initiatives, a record number of women serving in Congress, and the momentum for women’s rights created by the #metoo movement, is this the year that federal and state governments close the gender gap?
