About Elizabeth

How do you help businesses and individuals?

I assist individuals and businesses facing legal challenges in a wide range of areas, including real and personal property transactions, contractual disputes, personal injuries, and matters requiring litigation or alternate dispute resolution. Clients and colleagues depend on me for a transparent, straightforward approach that prioritizes common sense solutions and communication. To this end, I provide sound legal counsel to help individuals pinpoint their goals, set clear and reasonable expectations, and pursue the outcomes they want and deserve.

What sets you apart from other lawyers in your practice field?

Competency, reliability, and honesty. I worked for several years in journalism and politics, which gave me the ability to think on my feet and adapt to circumstances, thrive under pressure, and have frank, open discussions. I find it deeply satisfying to be able to confidently tell a client, “I’ve got this.” But I am equally confident to say, “I don’t know about this, but I will find out.” Although no lawyer can guarantee a particular outcome, I do not hesitate to do the legwork needed to find viable solutions and a path forward.

What did you learn in your first year of practice that you still utilize today?

Growing up, I was taught the “golden rule”: Treat others how you want to be treated. Throughout my professional life, there were certainly times when I could have easily ignored that rule in the face of aggression or frustration. But I have learned that integrity and persistence – rather than uncivil conduct or “shouting matches” – present a much stronger front in the face of adversity.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a lawyer?

A:

Listening and learning. There is truly nothing better than going to work every day and not knowing what you will encounter, whose story you will hear, or which challenges will arise. If I do not listen and learn something every day, I am not doing my job.
