Litigation Legal Assistant

Rhoades McKee is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Litigation Team. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist our attorneys with administrative tasks and provide our clients with exceptional service.

Responsibilities Include

  • Prepare and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communicate with clients, including conducting client intake and follow-ups.
  • Prepare documents and forms by completing initial drafts and processing edits.
  • Draft and review legal correspondence, including proofreading grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Prepares, issues, and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
  • Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits and performing other tasks.
  • Track case status for events scheduled in assigned cases.
  •  Communicate with clients regarding the status of their case and to send and receive documents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Environmental Attorney

Rhoades McKee is seeking an experienced Environmental Attorney to join our team. This attorney’s primary role will include representing clients with respect to a broad spectrum of environmental and natural resources matters under state and federal law, including due diligence, site remediation, regulatory compliance, permitting, brownfield redevelopment, insurance claims and disputes, environmental audits, litigation, enforcement, administrative appeals and dispute resolution.

Holland Office - Associate Attorney

Rhoades McKee PC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our office in Holland, Michigan. This position will be exposed to a wide range of practice areas but with an emphasis in real estate, financial services, business, and litigation. The Experience

Our Summer Associate Program is a ten (10) week program designed to provide real work assignments involving actual cases and legal issues being handled by the firm. Compensation and Benefits

Our Summer Associates receive a competitive compensation package. We also provide a bar allowance for new first-year associates who are offered and accept positions with the firm following completion of the summer program. This allowance is paid to the student upon graduation from law school.

Hastings Office - Associate Attorney

Rhoades McKee is seeking an Associate Attorney for the Hastings, Michigan office with 1-5 years of experience who is licensed (or willing and able to become licensed) and is in good standing to practice law in Michigan. The associate will be exposed to a wide range of practice areas, with a primary emphasis on family law and estate planning matters.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will be expected to interact with clients and the community, be detail-oriented, possess a good work ethic, and have strong interpersonal skills. Successful candidates will also have litigation experience with resolving custody, parenting time, child support, property division, and estate and trust administration. This position includes drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, participating in mediation, making court appearances, and participating in evidentiary hearings.

Central Services Assistant

Rhoades McKee is seeking a full-time Central Services Assistant to join our team! This role’s primary responsibilities include assisting in administration tasks relating to the Firm’s back office and facility needs.

Responsibilities

  •  Ensure accurate and efficient review and distribution of firm mail and deliveries.
  • Support the firm and clients by handling deliveries and errands.
  • Monitor incoming faxes and distribute them to staff/firm.
  • Assist with monitoring and ordering supplies.
  • Assisting with New Employee Orientation and Set-Up
  • Back-up Receptionist
  • Assisting with Facilities Maintenance and Management
  • Perform required tasks to ensure client files are closed properly.
