Environmental Law Attorney

Rhoades McKee is looking for an attorney to join our Environmental Practice Group.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have several years of environmental law experience, including such matters as transactions and due diligence, regulatory compliance and permitting, site remediation and redevelopment, and litigation and administrative appeals.The candidate must be licensed and in good standing (or willing and able to become licensed) to practice law in the state of Michigan.

Real Estate Paralegal

Rhoades McKee has an exciting new opportunity available for a Real Estate Paralegal. Candidates interested in this role will have the opportunity to assist attorneys on our highly specialized team in representing clients regarding a broad spectrum of real estate matters.

Responsibilities 

  • Proactively assist attorneys with various tasks and provide administrative support on a daily basis for multiple initiatives and projects by taking responsibility for data identification, collection, processing, and transfer as well as required documentation.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues, attorneys, clients, and other internal and external parties.
  • Liaise with various personnel as necessary including clients, and clients’ in-house and outside counsel, other paralegals and title company and lender representatives.
  • Collect data, document findings, and draft comprehensive reports as needed.
  • Improve and implement new methods for data collection, content management, organization, contract oversight, and other tasks.
  • Maintain closing checklists and generally manage the closing process in conjunction with attorney team, including organizing and compiling signature pages and recordable documents.
  • Draft basic closing documents, including resolutions, certificates and other closing deliverables.
  • Facilitate and conduct certain aspects of basic real estate diligence (e.g., title, survey and environmental).
  • Other duties and opportunities as they arise.

Qualifications

Candidate must be highly organized, detail orientated, and able to successfully manage multiple priorities. Prior real estate experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
