Accounts Payable/Billing Specialist

Rhoades McKee is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Billing Specialist to join our firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This position will support our employees firmwide by leading the accounts payable process including vendor payments and expense reimbursements, reconciling credit card statements including data entry into accounting software, and general accounting duties to include managing the monthly billing process. Successful candidates will be proficient in accounting functions, pose excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and a detail-oriented multitasker.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of relevant accounting experience. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and law firm or other professional service organization is preferred. This position requires an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask while juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Real Estate Paralegal

Rhoades McKee has an exciting new opportunity available for a Real Estate Paralegal. Candidates interested in this role will have the opportunity to assist attorneys on our highly specialized team in representing clients regarding a broad spectrum of real estate matters.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with various tasks and provide administrative support on a daily basis for multiple initiatives and projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, and clients’ in-house and outside counsel, other paralegals, title companies, and lender representatives.
  • Maintain closing checklists and generally manage the closing process in conjunction with the attorney team, including organizing and compiling signature pages and recordable documents.
  • Order title commitments, surveys, appraisals, and other due diligence items and track due diligence and related timelines.
  • Draft basic real estate documents, including closing documents, resolutions, certificates, closing instructions, and other closing deliverables.
  • Review, analyze and prepare memoranda regarding surveys and title commitments.
  • Other duties and opportunities as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Assist with file transfers and closings
  • Provide clerical support to the Central Services department

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have an interest in law, records management, or digital asset management.
