Labor, Employment and Human Resources Paralegal

Rhoades McKee has an exciting new opportunity available for a Labor/Employment/Human Resource Paralegal. Candidates interested in this role will have the opportunity to work directly with both clients and attorneys in the development of client resources, strategies and tactics for day-to-day human resource management, and in support of litigation, administrative and transactional proceedings.

Responsibilities

  • Work with attorneys, staff and clients in development of tools and resources in furtherance of client labor and employment goals and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, recommendations and support to attorneys and clients in development of human resource strategies and tactics and responding to day-to-day human resource concerns.
  • Provide litigation and administrative support, including research, to attorneys and clients in connection with administrative investigations and trials.
  • Proactively assist attorneys with various tasks and provide administrative support on a daily basis for multiple initiatives and projects.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues, attorneys, clients, and other internal and external parties.
  • Liaise with various personnel as necessary including clients, and clients’ in-house and outside counsel, and other paralegals.
  • Research and collect data, document findings, and draft comprehensive reports for internal or external use, as needed.
  • Facilitate and conduct certain aspects of basic labor/employment law training, presentations, and form/handbook drafting.
  • Daily time-keeping in connection with work performed.
  • Other duties and opportunities as they arise.

Qualifications

Candidate must be highly organized, detail orientated, self-motivated and able to successfully manage multiple priorities. 5+ years of Human Resource experience or 3+ years of paralegal experience with employment/human resource focus is required.  Associate degree minimum; Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Formal paralegal training is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Central Services Clerk

Rhoades McKee is looking to hire a full-time Central Services Clerk. This exciting opportunity will have you working in a number of different capacities with employees firm wide. The Central Services department is responsible for everything from conflict checks/opening new client files, scanning and maintaining electronic records, assisting firm employees with administrative tasks, assisting in the management of firm facilities, running errands, and more while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have an Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience with strong technical, customer service, and administrative skills.  Previous legal experience is a plus. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, very organized, and eager to streamline processes and procedures.
