Estate Planning Associate Attorney

Rhoades McKee is seeking an associate attorney to join our firm in Grand Rapids, Michigan to work in its Estate Planning and Administration Practice Group. Candidates interested in this role will have a range of opportunities, including the opportunity to draft and review legal documents, design customized estate plans, advise fiduciaries with respect to the administration of estates, and collaborate on probate litigation files.

Legal Assistant

Our Legal Assistant position is eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus!

Rhoades McKee is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our firm. This position will provide administrative and clerical support to multiple attorneys. Successful candidates will be proficient in creating and editing documents, scheduling and billing, legal document preparation, file maintenance and have experience in state and federal court e-filing.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of relative legal assistant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.  This position requires an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask while juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Central Services Records Intern

Are you interested in a carer in legal or records management? Our Central Services Records Internship will provide you with real-world experience, a flexible part-time schedule, a paid internship, and the opportunity to participate in firm social events.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Index and catalog files
  • Prepare files for digitization
  • Scan and upload files to our digital asset management system (iManage)
  • Metadata creation and standardization
  • Conduct research
  • Apply retention to records/files
  • Assist with workflow development and implementation of best practices
  • Assist with file transfers and closings
  • Provide clerical support to the Central Services department

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have an interest in law, records management, or digital asset management. This position requires motivation, comfortability with handling confidential information, willingness to take on projects, impressive organizational skills in a fast-paced work environment, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines, along with proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Staff Accountant

Rhoades McKee is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in our Grand Rapids, Michigan office. This position will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, such as utilizing the firm’s accounting and billing software platforms, performing payroll functions, accounting for the firm’s cash receipts, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting in other financial compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess excellent organizational and administrative skills, provide attention to detail, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines, be proficient with Microsoft Excel and collaborate closely with other members of the firm’s accounting team. The ideal candidate will have several years of accounting or payroll experience; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
