Rhoades McKee is pleased to announce that Jackie Gordon and Patrick Sweeney were recently elected as Shareholders. With over 47 attorneys and three offices (Grand Rapids, Hastings, and Holland), the firm has grown to include forty-four shareholders.

Jackie Gordon

Gordon concentrates her practice in the areas of employment litigation, professional liability litigation, probate litigation, and the H-2A Non-Immigrant Visa Program. She helps clients through a wide variety of legal issues, including addressing agricultural labor shortages, defending against malpractice claims, and obtaining conservatorships and guardianships for clients in need.

Gordon serves as a Board Member for the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Grand Rapids and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. A graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Iowa College of Law, she is a current member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan.

Patrick Sweeney

Sweeney concentrates his practice representing clients in state and federal courts, with a focus on complex commercial litigation, real estate and zoning disputes, construction disputes, and appellate law. His experience includes representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of actions, including contractual disputes, fiduciary obligations and disputes between owners of closely-held businesses, products liability, commercial landlord/tenant matters, and construction lien foreclosures.

A graduate of Central Michigan University and Washington and Lee University School of Law, Sweeney serves on the Lakeshore Regional Entity Substance Abuse Oversight Policy Board and as a Board Member for the March of Dimes West Michigan Signature Chef Auction. He is currently a member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the American Bar Association’s Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section.
