Rhoades McKee is pleased to announce that J.R. Poll has been named as Chair of the nationally recognized, premier Medical Malpractice Legal Team. As Practice Chair, Poll is responsible for guiding practice development growth and overseeing the delivery of legal services for physicians, nurses, and physician assistants in complex medical malpractice actions.
At the trial court level, Poll represents healthcare providers facing medical malpractice claims. As an appellate attorney, he frequently represents clients who are seeking to challenge or defend a lower court order on appeal. Practicing in both the trial court and the appellate court, Poll provides his clients with a unique advantage. He prepares and argues significant motions with an eye toward potential appellate implications effectively preserving appellate issues and positioning his clients’ case for appeal. As a contributor to the Rhoades McKee Michigan Appeals Blog, Poll routinely educates healthcare professionals and organizations on recent court rulings.
Poll is a current member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, and the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel. He is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and the Michigan State University College of Law.
